Makeruna! Shogeruna! Noriokureruna! #5 (December 26th)

Let's enjoy Christmas alone and don't make false assumptions.

A relatively nice sky as a present.

It's Nogizaka46's hayashi runa.

(This story) is about the other day.

I was running to the station because I was going to be late for the train,
and I crashed heavily in front of a traffic light on the way.

It was getting colder and colder,
so my numb body wasn't aware of the pain,
and all I could do was see the light turning red in front of me.

I made up my mind to give up and take the next express train,
and since there was no need to hurry anymore,
I just walked slowly while stumbling.

Then suddenly my right hand came into view,
and to my surprise,
there was a stream of blood running down it.

As soon as the realization of "I was injured when I fell" came to the center of my mind,
the wound started to throb and hurt.

Do you know about Bernard Lown's blood experiment?        (Bernard is the writer of the book where this story is from, but runa referred him as the prisoner)

Let me give you a very simplified explanation.

Once upon a time, there was a man condemned to death who refused to be executed,
and because he refused, a group of doctors offered him "an experiment",
and if he did so, he would be pardoned from his sentence.

The experiment was, superficially, to see "how much blood a person could lose before dying."

The prisoner was tied to a bed and blindfolded for the experiment.

The doctors said, "We will begin the experiment now~" and inserted a scalpel into the prisoner's toe.

The bucket at his feet began to fill with blood, and the doctors continued to talk with him.

"Normally, you'd die in a third of the time."

"How much longer is that?"

"Oh, you're almost there."

Shortly after hearing that, the prisoner died.

Actually, this experiment is not about "how much blood a person could lose before dying'.

The doctors only gave to the prisoner a small cut on his foot.

There was no blood from the beginning,
what was perceived as the sound of blood flowing was the sound of water falling into the bucket.

The essence of this experiment was, "Can we die only by our imagination?"

They simply poured drops of water into the bucket and made people believe that blood was flowing out.

This is called the "nocebo effect" which means that this effect has a negative impact on your body,
and that's what happened to me when I fell in front of the traffic light.

Well, even though it shouldn't actually hurt that much,
my brain thought, "a lot of blood = extremely painful".

It's similar to the phenomenon that when you happen to measure your temperature with a thermometer and if it's higher than expected, you start to feel lethargic.

That's what I thought on Christmas Day.

Are you all okay?
Didn't you drown yourself in the belief that you have a lover?
Let's just be honest and enjoy being alone.

Thanks for your hard work this week.

Hayashi Runa Blog (December 23rd)

Allow me to say it once again, I'm Hayashi Runa! Otsukaresama desu!

Thanks for your hard work today as well.

I'm Hayashi Runa, a 4th generation member of Nogizaka46.

17 years old, second year HS student from Kanagawa Prefecture

I'm Hayashi Runa, the blooming seven's teen.

Don't lose, don't be afraid, Hayashi Runa, today is another day of hard work
(makeruna, shogeruna, Hayashi Runa, kyou mo ichinichi ganbaruna)
(pin-pon)

The 49th round of the blog relay...

It's not ! ! ! ! ! !

Good evening, all mankind.

I'm Hayashi Runa.

And I've started my personal blog today!

With that said, and although I'm sure some of you already know me, I'd like to introduce myself.

I'm Hayashi Runa, born in Hyogo Prefecture and raised in Kanagawa Prefecture.

I'm 17 years old this year, and I am currently allowed to play as a high school girl.      (note: I'm just quoting)

"Allowed to play"?  tock-tock

I was born on October 2nd, I'm Libra.

I think I really look like I was born on October 2nd, but what do you think?

By the way, I was born on the same day as Gandhi-san.

This is a photo that Sato Rika took for me once.

............... I'll start my "I like OO I hate OO" series ..............

Favorite food: White rice, omelette, tomatoes
Favorite comedian: There's a lot
Favorite music: Anything
Favorite color: Anything
Dislikes: Round bumps on hills in residential areas

That's all

《End》

....................................................................................

My height is 165cm.

However, I rounded up my height, so the truth is that I'm actually 165cm on the 164cm scale.
I'm on the losers' side of the 165cm.

My penlight color is Pink x Pink.

That's probably enough.

I'll try to answer your questions in the next blog, so I'll write something more concrete there.

I'm also writing a series of columns at nikkansports.com
Please check it out if you like.

Here is the last one.

Tomorrow is Miyu-chan, is what I'd like to say, but I already graduated from that too.

 It's so sad.      /     Samishii.

You are, right? Rika-chan is samishii.

(there's a connection between that word, サ未四已 - samishii (which can be roughly translated for "sadness/empty/loneliness") and "rika-chan", both at some point mean the same, but is something hard to explain. I don't want to do research so I'll just leave it like that, sorry)

Adiós ! ! ! ! ! !

49   sincerely

Makeruna! Shogeruna! Noriokureruna! #4 (December 22nd)

A child conveniently use separately the words like "adult" and "child" for their own reasons?

(I'll be playing with the order for a bit, all mean the same though)

Sorry for the selfie that has nothing to do with the context.

It's Nogizaka46's 4th gen, hayashi runa.

I just thought about it.

Children conveniently use "adult" and "child" for different purposes, don't they?

(I'm just talking about children in their adolescence. No, children in general. No, what is "child in general" anyways?)

I recently had a situation that made me realize this, but I can't remember what it was.

Then was when I thought about this.

I wonder if it is really the adults who are using the terms "adult" and "child" for their own convenience.

I don't think there is anyone who can tell me where the line is between "I'm already a OO " and "I'm still a OO".

However, I think that if "already" and "still" are used too unreasonably, there will be conflicts.

But (we are) not aware of it.

From the adult's perspective, it's like, "Just the children use 'adult' and 'child' for their own convenience, don't they~"

I wonder if it's because I'm getting older,
or if I'm being influenced by the environment around me, and I'm changing without realizing it.
Perhaps it is both.

When I consider this, I really don't trust in the lines like "I'll be totally fine".

You have to be the one who doubts yourself the most, because there are no absolutes. otherwise it's possible that you may find yourself saying, "I've gone off the rails before I knew it."

Facing yourself is probably more difficult than facing others.

Oh, I remember now.

Emma's words to Camille.         (not the slightlest idea from where's though)

"Don't use "adult" and "children" separately for your own reasons."

That's something I've been thinking about lately.

Thanks for another week of hard work!

So cold~

Blog: Hayashi Runa (December 10th)

I didn't like myself     Hayashi Runa.

("Jibun no koto" first verse)

Thank you so much for the Nogizaka46 4th gen Live 2020.

One of my wishes was to perform in such a way that everyone would say with confidence that they like Hayashi Runa.

I wonder if I have achieved that.

This was the first live for the 4th generation after we became a 16-member group.

Needless to say, I also knew that it wouln't be easy.

But I thought I knew it all.

When I realized it, I was so busy trying to catch up with the others that I couldn't see what was going on around me.

Even so, I still can say "I had fun doing my best", because everyone helped me a lot in the way.

I'm going to work even harder so that I can return this gratitude.

...............................................................

In the unit corner, I was given the chance to sing as a soloist.
ユニットコーナーで、わたしはソロで歌わせていただきました。

「Jibun no koto」「自分のこと」「About oneself」

An important song that gave me the strength to start walking again, over and over again.
何度も何度も、再び歩き出す活力をいただいた大切な曲。

When I heard that I was going to perform solo, this was the first song I chose.
ソロをやらさせていただくことをお聞きしたとき、真っ先にこの曲を選曲しました。

I have no memory of that moment when I was singing, because I was so nervous and had so many thoughts crossing and intersecting in my mind that my body couldn't take it.
緊張と、身体が抱えることのできないくらいの思いが交差して交差して、歌っていたあの瞬間の記憶がありません。

It was a scrambled intersection of emotions.
感情のスクランブル交差点です。

I probably was thinking about a lot of things and almost cried when I remembered.
たぶん色んなことを考えて、思い出して泣いてしまいそうになっていました。

I'm lying, just sweating.
嘘です、汗ですよ。

But I do remember the call-and-response section, where everyone cheered me on and said that I was doing great.
でもコールアンドレスポンスのコーナーになって、みんなが良かったよと沢山励ましてくれたのは覚えています。

And after the live, I heard that Nakamoto Himeka-san had watched the 4th gen live.
ライブが終わった後、中元日芽香さんが4期生ライブを見てくださっていたことをお聞きしました。

I also received a message from her.
メッセージもいただきました。

It made me want to work harder and harder.
もっともっと頑張ろうと思えました。

The lightstick colors.
サイリウムカラー。

The importance of being able to use the pink × pink.
ピンク×ピンクにさせていただいていることの重み。
(It's also Nakamoto's colors)

I would like to continue to carry this important burden that I have come to feel with every nerve.
全神経で感じているこの大切な重みを、これからも背負わせていただきたい。

I performed a song that Nakamoto-san values very much, and I was able to perform the colors in my own way with great care.
色を自分なりの力で大切にパフォーマンスさせていただきました。

Thank you very much.
本当にありがとうございました。

...............................................................

In the encore, we performed the new song of the 4th gen members.

『Out of the blue』

It's the first 4th gen song I've participated in, and I really love the melody, the lyrics and the choreography.

Seira-chan, who is the center of the song, took care of me a lot through the whole live.
I can't thank her enough for accepting my genuine feelings and teaching me the choreography step by step.
Since we were often close to each other due to our positions, she saw things that I didn't notice.

I wanted to trust her wholeheartedly, and I thought many times during the live how important she was.

I really, really love you, Seira-chan

.....................................................................

Tomorrow is myu-chan.

Thank ya for real.
(kansai-ben)

P.S. I'll write more behind-the-scenes stories in my column.

Adiós ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

To be under such influence of someone else...

At that time, Miyu hugged me while giving me a look that said, "I'm not nervous!!"

Makeruna! Shogeruna! Noriokureruna! #2 (December 8th)

A little talk about the first solo live by the 16 girls in the 4th gen of Hayashi Runa.

Overloaded brain and cramped body can be healed by penguins....It's hayashi runa.

It's Hayashi Runa, a 4th gen member of Nogizaka46.

As I announced last week, I'm going to write about "Nogizaka46 4th Generation Live 2020".

However, the live probably will be over by the time I publish this.
(she wrote this around the past week and she doesn't know if it'd be published after or before that, probably)

I'll tell you a few things, though the timeline will be confusing.

"4th Generation Live 2020"

It says "2020," so as you may have guessed, it means that it was also one in "2019".

However, this was the first time that the 4th generation performed together a solo live with the 16 members.

For us, the 5 new members, this live was by far the biggest wall in our whole history.

And though we had it very bad with the choreography lessons of every day, there were some people who helped us at such times.

Yes, that's the 11 members of the fourth generation.

Because of their wide experience in many rehearsals,
they gave us solid and detailed advices as seniors would do.

It's the first time in over a year for the 5 members of the new 4th gen to perform a live show.

I think the other 4 girls have grown up not only in quality of performance but also mentally,
and I may be subjective, but I can tell that just by watching them.

It has been a long time since the five of us have performed.

And we will also deliver the passionate enthusiasm of the 4th gen to you via radio waves. (now as of December 4th)

Or rather, did you receive it already?

I would really like to tell you the story behind the rehearsal, but that would be like a spoiler,
so I'll tell you next week.

Well then,

Let's keep up the good work this week! ! !

The finalists of the M-1 Grand Prix 2020 have been chosen.

Continuing from the previous one

Mitorizu-san

New York-san

I'm very excited to see that they are also in the finals.

The 2018 tournament was the trigger for me to like Mitorizu-san.

At that time, they were first-time finalists, but they have been called "regular finalists".

They're so emo that this is where the use of the word "emo" lies.

Is it just me, or has Lily's hair become more stylish over the competitions of 2018~2019?

I'm looking forward to seeing what is going to wear this year!

And, New York-san!

Two people I' ve had the privilege to call my favorites in many occasions.

Whenever I talk with Saraba-san, we always talk about New York.

It's partly because I like New York, but also because Morita-san has also a huge affection for them.

I can't say it all, but I really like them and their style.

You were a finalist in the King of Conte 2020, so I'm looking forward to your performance in the M-1 Grand Prix.

Makeruna! Shogeruna! Noriokureruna! #1 (December 1st)

I'm Hayashi Runa and I'm starting my new column series. My hability is the white-eyes.

[December 1st, 12:00]

From this week, I will take over the regular serialization from Terada Ranze-san.

It's Nogizaka46 4th generation, Hayashi Runa.

I'm Hayashi Runa, yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

Here I would like to write about various things that happen in daily life from my point of view, focusing on the news in the group.

As I am Hayashi Runa, I think there's a lot of people who think of me as a girl of doubtful origin.
(probably refers to her character, but it can be also other things)

I know it's a bit of a rush, but I'd like to introduce myself.

Ah, before that.

I just learned that the honorific expression,
『to have the privilege of doing 〇〇』is sometimes inappropiate.
(can be also: Allow me to~, It'd be a pleasure to~, I'll be happy to~, let me be~, pleased I'd~, etc, it's an expression after all)

It depends on whether your actions are appropriate for the listener,
or whether you got permission to go around, or not.

The honorific may be right or wrong depending on the speaker (who we are, relation between both, social rank, etc.)

To be more precise, when you introduce yourself to someone you have never met before,
you might say,
『"Allow me to" introduce myself. I am~...』『自己紹介"させてください"。私は~…』

and it's correct to say it,
but if other person instructs you beforehand with,

「Then, please introduce yourself.」「それでは自己紹介をお願いします。」

If you don't say,

『"I will" introduce myself. I am~...』『自己紹介"します"。私は~…』

 you'll be saying it wrongly.

The Japanese is interesting, isn't it?

And yes, I haven't forgotten about that.

The introduction.

Let me introduce myself once again.

I'm hayashi runa, a member of Nogizaka46 4th generation.
I think that my name's strength is that I can convert it into Kanji with a single shot (or not, it depends on the person)
I was born on October 2nd, 2003
Type O, Libra
My height is 164.5 cm (The official website states that I'm 163 cm, but I am growing at a slow pace)
My specialty is to cleanly put my eyes white.

I think that's enough basic information.

I've been talking redundantly from the first time.

Next week I'm going to write about what we are now just right in the middle of rehearsing,

[ Nogizaka46  4th gen LIVE 2020 ]

I'll cherish this place that Ranze-san has led me to, and I'll continue to write in it.
